After Riverdale Ridge High School captured its first-ever 4A girls basketball state championship last month, a celebration was in order.

The Thornton school chose this Friday to honor its state champs, holding a pep assembly for the school with the marching band, cheerleaders and entire student body in attendance.

Check out some photos from the event below.

  • Riverdale Ridge High School Principal Cody Clark addresses an all-school assembly honoring the Ravens' state basketball championship on March 29. The Ravens secured their first state team title in school history and the second state title overall.

  • Riverdale Ridge's mascot seems to be looking for an empty spot among the members of the Ravens' pep band during an all-school assembly on March 29. The assembly recognized the success of the winter sports season, including the Ravens' state championship in girls basketball. The assembly also looked ahead to the in-progress spring sports season.
