Now comes the newest Ward 4 Council Member not bothering to review July 2023 City Council minutes or videos.

Had Jody Roper done so, she would see her “Predecessor’s” actions (yours truly) had nothing whatsoever to do with her own Special Interest Group allegiance & bias, but rather, questioning the use of Taxpayer funds – derived from hard-working Northglenn residents – sponsoring expensive City-sponsored “celebrations” including her own much-favored special interest group.

Moreover, one cannot help but be astonished by new Ward 4 Council Member laying claim to represent “ALL” having served just two weeks in the Jan. 24 Northglenn Connection. Has she proved herself successful at this task of representing “ALL”?

At the outset of her first term has she garnered a great deal of marked attention, sanity, truth and civility? Many differing demographics relate, “Not so much!”

Neighbors and new friends from all City Wards I met as candidates for Mayor, shake their heads asking, “How come Northglenn’s Council members do things that none of us support?” Ward 4 folks say when they talk about ‘City Doings,’ “She doesn’t represent me,” And, “If other Council Members run unopposed, do they have a constituency?”

So I ask . . . are you able to spend money you don’t possess? If you are a responsible and common sense Northglenn resident, the answer is unequivocally “no.”

However, that is not the case for Northglenn’s Council majority. They spend well beyond the City’s means without consequence. Is there currently nothing to contain the spending habits of City politicians hopelessly addicted to partying?  Doesn’t Northglenn have too many celebrations plus creating vocal minorities’ social programs, soon to be adding migrants?

This last summer I talked about needless spending but my comments were drowned out by 30 audience voices and most of the City Council claiming their own victimhood status – feelings being offended, showing how delicate they are, how quick to take offense when none was ever intended!

Council majority’s official response – censure − instant capitulation to self-righteous demands to repudiate that which offended.

Then, it was ALL about money but the new Ward 4 Council Member just had to “poke the bear” to show her own bias for the sake of her own wife – which I truly believe is the truth of the matter – may be even the DISE Board.
