Efforts to help the homeless in Adams County will be discussed Feb. 13 at the Human Services Center, 11860 N. Pecos St., in Westminster in a meeting open to the public.
The League of Women Voters is hosting the gathering at 6:30 p.m.
Adams County administrator Lindsey Earl will describe current county efforts toward the homeless.
Earl administers programs for the homeless as well as Community Safety and Well-Being, according to an Adams County news release.
She will discuss the landscape of homelessness in Adams County and the programs and services the county is offering those without permanent shelter.
As many as 4,500 people in Adams County are actively enrolled in homelessness programs. County officials say about 18% of those are without shelter.
Last year, Adams County was awarded nearly $50 million in American Rescue Plan Act funds to help in areas across the county and $29 million of those federal dollars are going to housing and homelessness programs, according to the county.
