Parker police are on the lookout for a black Audi sedan with dark tinted windows, a roof rack and Colorado license plates. They say the vehicle is connected to an alleged attempted abduction in the 23000 block of Bay Oaks Ave, between Frontier Valley Elementary and Cimarron Middle schools on Wednesday morning.

The suspect is described as a white man, about 50 years old, with graying hair and a mustache.

Just before 9 a.m., a staffer at the elementary school, located at 23919 Canterberry Pkwy, was alerted by a student that a man in a black vehicle approached them and began talking.

The school and other Douglas County schools – Legend High School, Cimarron Middle School, Iron Horse and Pioneer Elementary School – were placed in a “secure status,” to keep students and staffers safe in their buildings, as police patrol cars began cavasing the area.

The secure status for all five schools was lifted just before noon, when authorities said they had completed their canvases. As of 4:45 p.m., officers were continuing efforts to find the vehicle and the gray-haired man.

Police ask anyone with information about the incident or the driver to call 303-805-6543 or email mwhite@parkerco.gov
