Douglas County School District is hosting its annual State of the District on Thursday evening at the Legacy Campus to share updates on accomplishments and challenges from the past year. 

Superintendent Erin Kane is expected to present about what’s happening in the schools in an open address. The event will also recognize schools that won awards from the Colorado Department of Education in 2023.

The State of the District, 6 p.m., May 2, at 10035 South Peoria St. in Lone Tree, is free and open to the public.
