Football: Thornton toasts homecoming with win over Littleton

Thornton’s Miles Poole ran for 137 yards and a touchdown as Thornton High School celebrated homecoming with a 40-18 over Littleton Sept. 10 at Adams 12 Stadium in Westminster.  

Thornton Trojans quarterback Isaiah Reece threw for 263 yards and three touchdowns, one each to Josiah Rodriguez, Isacc Gomez and Caleb Gutierrez Paz, while Thornton’s Miles Poole ran for 137 yards and a touchdown. Reece also scored a rushing touchdown.  

Littleton punter Conor Wherry was tackled in the end zone by Thornton’s Abaz Aziz during first-quarter action. The play resulted in a safety, which gave the Trojans an early 8-0 lead.
