Grand Junction Central slipped past Holy Family 2-1 in two overtimes in the first round of the state 4A girls soccer tournament May 11 in Broomfield.

Liana Bryant scored both goals for the Warriors. GJCHS also surrendered an own goal in the last three minutes of regulation time when a ball bounced off a Warriors' player and into the goal.

The Tigers finished the season with a record of 8-6.
