David Lawrence and the Spoonful entertained July 28 on the front lawn of the Littleton Museum as part of the 2021 Summer Concert Series presented by the museum and the Friends of the Library and Museum.
Bandleader and guitarist David Lawrence was joined by Gary Sloan on upright bass and drummer Ed Breazeale for a 90-minute show. The band's name is an homage to blues musician and songwriter Willie Dixon's song "Spoonful," which the band performed duiring its set.
The six-week series, presented on consecutive Wednesdays outside the museum at 6028 S. Gallup St. in Littleton, wraps up with Dakota Blonde on Aug. 11 and Buckstein on Aug. 18.
The concert series is free with open seating on a first come, first serve basis. Organizers ask in a statement that "families gather with caution and we encourage wearing a mask and social distancing, especially for those who are not vaccinated. We will not be offering any food or beverage service via food trucks this year. Guests are welcome to bring their own snacks, provided they dispose of remaining items and trash properly."
