BROOMFIELD -- Legacy High School beat Overland 4-1 in the opening round of the Colorado state 5A boys soccer tournament in Broomfield.

Cooper Stephens scored two of the Lightning's goals in the game on Oct. 26.

Nikhil Newman and Tristan Maurek also scored for Legacy. Goalkeeper Wesley Hempelmann made four saves in 78 minutes of play. Hudson Roster finished out the contest in goal for LHS and didn't have to make a save.

No stats were available for the Trailblazers.

The Lightning (15-1) host Castle View in the second round of the playoffs. Kickoff time is 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, in Broomfield. Overland finished its season with a record of 7-9.
