Voters chose Jay Michael Jaramillo and Julie Duran Mullica to sit on the Northglenn City Council, according to election results posted on the Adams County Clerk and Recorder's website.
Jaramillo replaces Councilor Joyce Downing in Northglenn Ward 2. Jaramillo had 50 percent of the votes (700 total) to 29 percent for Gerald Montour and 20 percent for Everett Renberg.
according to early returns in the city's 2021 municipal election.
Mullica beat challenger Mark Bromley by a margin of 3-to-2 in the Ward 3 race. Mullica had 748 votes to Bromley's 507.
Nicholas Walker ran unopposed in Ward 1; so did Ward 4 incumbent Jenny Wilford.
A second position was on the ballot in Ward 4 as well. Incumbent Shannon Lukeman-Hiromas, who was selected to replace Antonio Esquibel earlier this year, ran unopposed and will fill out the two-year remainder of Esquibel's term.
