Wad-Free by Brayniacs LLC is a laundry gadget that prevents sheets from tangling, twisting and balling-up in both the washing machine and the dryer. Bray, a resident of Denver’s University neighborhood, appeared on the TV show “Shark Tank” last fall. Her episode — season 13, episode 5 —aired on Nov. 5.
“There had never been a solution to the wasteful and annoying bed sheet wadding problem, so I tasked myself to invent one,” Bray said. “It is very rewarding that my goal to end laundry frustrations while saving water, energy and time has been realized.”
It took her 14 months from product conception to the June 2020 product launch. Wad-Free is all Colorado made, even the packaging, which is made in Louisville, Bray said.
Wad-Free is Bray’s first invention, but it won’t her last, she said. Her next product for the Wad-Free line will be for blankets and duvet covers.
“I hope to have the second product available soon,” Bray said, “and after that, I have more laundry room solutions in the works.”
