The City of Littleton will welcome the holiday season with the return of its annual Candlelight Walk at 5:30 p.m. this Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, with dancing elves, trees, real-life reindeer and a host of other festive attractions.

The event, which will take place on Main Street in downtown Littleton, will feature live music from the Heritage High School Brass and Littleton High School Choir as well as free warm apple cider and hot chocolate.

Attendees can purchase candles for 50 cents at Bradford Auto Body, at the west end of Main Street, and Bega Park, at the east end, ahead of a parade throughout Main Street that will begin at 6:30 p.m..

Bradford Auto Body will also be collecting non-perishable food items for Integrated Family Community Services, a food bank near Englewood.

Following the parade, the night will end with the lighting of the giant tree in Bowles Plaza at the west end of Main Street and a visit from Santa, who will be available later for photos at Town Hall Arts Center, 2450 W. Main St.

Main Street will close to traffic at 4 p.m. that day and attendees are encouraged to park at Arapahoe Community College or the Littleton Center, which are both short walks from Main Street.
