Merlin Klotz, Douglas County clerk and recorder, needs to resign — now!
Never mind that Mr. Klotz thinks Vice President Mike Pence has “plenary” or absolute powers to overturn an election, the fact that Mr. Klotz is responsible for guaranteeing the integrity of our Douglas County elections and wants to overturn the elections of seven states is disgusting. Now we know that the clerk and recorder is not impartial, and that thousands of Douglas County residents do not have confidence in the integrity of our elections.
I also suggest that Mr. Klotz read up on the real powers invested in the vice president of the United States so that he will understand the true and factual powers of that office. Resign now, Mr. Klotz.
