Mark Hall, let’s talk
Mark Hall’s call to harass inspectors and CDPHE staff at their homes is alarming. I joined the Parker community over 15 years ago. I was on staff at PEPC and volunteered there for several years. In Parker I have managed small businesses, helped people move, repaired homes, and donated time, talents, and resources to local organizations. I have received food from SECOR, had rent paid by my church, and had help from people in Parker to get a job at CDPHE. CDPHE’s over 2,000 employees are just as diverse as Colorado. We have single moms volunteering as medical interpreters, retired military, spouses of active military, people who volunteer for shelters, and above all, we are all public servants. Mr. Hall’s call to harass public servants and our families is a call to harass children, military, and our neighbors.
Mr. Hall, and anyone who supports your rhetoric, I invite you to get to know us. I will buy any of you a coffee at our small businesses (Fika, Coffee Cabin, etc.) and we can sit outside and talk. After 15 years in Parker, and 10 years at CDPHE, I can say that is who we are, we are good people who care about our state, our communities, and our neighbors. We work tirelessly and with integrity.
Even though you may not agree with our work, we all want the same thing, a swift and safe end to this global pandemic. To do that we encourage everyone to wear a mask, keep 6 feet apart, wash your hands, and get the vaccine as soon as you are eligible. I encourage you to get to know us and your community better. We are not an enemy to go to war with, we are your neighbors.
Noah Begley, your neighbor and CDPHE employee
Parker
