Keep Ransom, Van Winkle

Our one-party-controlled state government fails to represent Colorado’s diverse voices and values. For example, last year Democrats from Denver-Boulder rammed through Senate Bill 181 despite broad opposition. This cost many workers in the oil and gas industry their jobs and eroded the tax base upon which school funding depends. Now Democrats are pushing for tax increases on all Coloradans — the last thing we need as we get back on our feet.

Standing in the way of further damage are brave, principled Republicans like our House Representatives Kevin Van Winkle and Kim Ransom. That’s why it’s crucial we reelect these two to continue representing our voices.

As Assistant Minority Leader, Kevin Van Winkle has consistently fought against job-killing tax increases and unnecessary regulations. His “2020 Red Tape Reduction Act” lowered taxes and cut red tape so that the unemployed in our community can get back on their feet and others can keep their jobs. In addition, Kevin was recently named to the Legislative Board of Ethics for his honesty, integrity and bipartisanship.

Kim Ransom recently received the Colorado Union of Taxpayers Champion award for her stewardship of our tax dollars and fighting to ensure we keep as much of our hard-earned money as possible. She bravely stands up for her constituents such as preserving the property tax exemption for seniors and disabled veterans.

Our state government should have balance and reflect our diverse voices and values.

Let’s reelect Kevin Van Winkle and Kim Ransom to continue their excellent work representing us!
