Democrats have it right

I want our local economy to thrive, but for an economy to thrive, it requires velocity money, i.e. moving around as much as possible, and for that to happen we must be healthy. If our community succumbs to the ravages of COVID-19, our economy will suffer, as lockdowns will be declared. To prevent such an action, I feel that wearing a mask is patriotic and pro-business.

We all know of stories from our parents and grandparents of what they did to help the United States during times of crisis. This is our generation’s time to step up to promote safe business practices and save our economy. It is a small sacrifice to forgo your ego and personal comfort to promote the greater good by slowing the spread of the virus. If we can keep the virus in check and slow the spread with simple mask wearing, our economy can and will get back to “normal,” albeit a masked normal.

I would like my fellow citizens to look at which candidates promote safety and mask wearing and understand they are our true pro-business candidates.

I am an unaffiliated nonpartisan voter, but for this cycle, only the Democrats understand the need for a healthy community and as such are the true pro-business candidates.
