BROOMFIELD -- Legacy took care of business in the first two rounds of the state 5A girls soccer tournament.
The Lightning doubled up Mountain Vista 6-3 in the tournament's second round May 13 in Broomfield. Kendall Rippley scored three goals, and Katey Beaver added two. Shay-Kercher Pratt made eight saves in 75 minutes of goalkeeping. Echo Cole finished up and had two saves.
Rippley scored half of Legacy's goals. Katey Beaver added two goals, while Paige Armstrong, Daryn Deleschinskis and Julianna Hayward picked goals as well. No stats were available for the Tigers.
The Lightning travel to Grandview for the state quarterfinals. The game is set for Monday, May 16. Start time was not available.
