Holy Family moves into 4A girls state soccer tournament


Holy Family High School's girls soccer team earned the 12th seed for this year's class 4A girls soccer tournament and will travel to Thompson Valley for a first-round match Wednesday, June 16.

The Tigers were 7-2 this season, and all of their games were in the class 4A Northern Colorado Athletic Conference. No stats were available.

The Eagles were 9-1, 8-1 in the new class 4A Longs Peak League. Marit Klagge, jjunior captain, scored 14 goals and finished with 31 points. Danae Vigil had 11 goals and 27 points. paige Wagner added six goals in her eight games. Allie Sanders was Thompson Valley's goalkeeper this spring. In 10 contests, she compiled a goals-against average of 1.5.

The winner gets either Windsor or Niwot in the June 19 quarterfinals.
