Offer the jobs, and they will come.

At least that was the hope, when the City of Golden, the Golden Chamber of Commerce, the Jeffco Business and Workforce Center, and the Eddy Hotel partnered to offer a job fair on Oct. 21.

Among the businesses hoping to hire new talent were the city itself, Abundant Business Connections, El Dorado Restaurant, The Eddy Taproom and Hotel, Table Mountain Vision, CoorsTek, MolsonCoors, American Mountaineering Center, Sirona Physical Therapy, Tributary Food Hall, On Tap Credit Union, Mahnke Autobody, Spyderco, Jeffco Schools Food and Nutrition Services, Creekside Jewelers, First Presbyterian Church of Golden, Gunslinger Custom Paint Warehouse, Jeffcom 911, Natural Grocers, KONG, Embry/Epoque and LivaNova.

The job fair offered these employers, at no cost, the opportunity to interview potential hires. Such help was unanimously viewed as timely, as representatives of several employers noted the increased difficulty of finding qualified new hires due to the pandemic and the current economy.
