Fort Lupton graduation primer

Fort Lupton High School issued its latest plans for graduation. The program begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 29, at Bob Phelps Field.

The updates came in the form of an online post from assistant principal Jim Roedel:

"With the updated graduation guidelines, and with some adjustments to our layout for graduation we are going to be able to offer an additional 300 tickets for community, families, and students with an opportunity to attend this year’s graduation ceremony. These general admission tickets will be available starting at 6:30 p.m. Friday, may 21, online,  and will be on a first-come first-served basis.

"They are free at no cost but you must order them online by visiting You will only be able to purchase two tickets at a time per person. The site will require you to register with hometown ticketing and will require that you have an email address to validate your account, so please be prepared for this as it will take several minutes for you to create your account before you are able to order your tickets.

"These general admission tickets are only good for the bleachers on the north side of the field. These tickets are in addition to the six tickets that will be provided to each graduate on Tuesday May 25, for family members to sit on the field.

"The family seating (six) tickets will be for the field, and there will be groupings of six chairs for each of the graduates’ families to sit in for the ceremony. We ask that you not move chairs around or combine groups. These tickets are specific to your graduate and cannot be duplicated, reprinted or transferred to anyone else.  Each of your tickets have a unique QR code that will need to be scanned at the gate upon entry, so you must have your ticket in order to enter the facility, the system will recognize if the ticket has already been scanned so please don’t make copies. Also, please do not lose your tickets and be sure you bring them with you for the big day.

"We are asking that those sitting on field use the south or west entrance only. The north entrance will be used for general admission and bleacher seating only.

"The event will also be streamed live on our Fort Lupton High School Facebook So if you want the best seat in the house, avoid the crowds, stay safe, you can sit back and enjoy the entire ceremony with your family and friends at home.

Parking information

"The back lot of the high school on Kahil Street is still under construction and closed. Therefore, entrance to parking is limited to only one way in. So please plan accordingly. We will have courtesy golf carts that can assist patrons that need assistance.
