Football photo gallery: Legacy posts shutout win against Rocky Mountain


Legacy High School posted its first football win of the season Sept. 9, at 31-0 triumph over Rocky Mountain High School in Westminster. The Lightning scored 28 of its points in the second quarter.

Quarterback Kullen Lema completed eight of 17 passes for 117 yards and three touchdowns. Two of those scoring passes went to Will Thurston. He finished with three catches for 75 yards. The other went to Tyler Madden, who caught three passes for 33 yards. Lema also was the leading rusher for the Lightning. He gained 80 yards on four carries and scored a touchdown.

No stats were available for the Lobos.

Next up for the Lightning is a non-league game against Mountain Vista. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, at Five Star Stadium in Thornton.
