Englewood offers community development updates

City details projects in the pipeline, including Swedish expansion


The city of Englewood has issued a report updating the community on the status of local development projects.

501 East Hampden Avenue

Project: Five-story vertical expansion; 115,371 square feet.

Status: Plans are under review.

Synergy Medical Office Building

506 East Hampden Avenue

Project: A five-story, mixed-use development with 14,000 square feet of retail (ground floor) and 104,000 square feet of medical office space. The building will have self-contained parking offering valet parking and 325+ parking spaces in a covered structure.

Status: Construction continues

Iron Works Village

601 West Bates Avenue

Project: 136 townhomes, condominiums, and single-family for sale units.

Status: Construction continues.

Winslow Crane Apartments

3002 South Huron Street

Project: 203 for-lease units, 12 three-story walkups.

Status: A virtual neighborhood meeting was held on June 18. A Planned Unit Development (PUD) application was submitted on June 29.

3500 South Corona Street

Project: 44-unit for-sale residential building.

Status: Construction continues.

Navajo Apartments

4201 South Navajo Street

Project: Five stories, 146 residential units

Status: Building permit under review

2140 South Zuni Street

Project: Sixty-four townhomes; for sale units.

Status: A formal planned unit development application was filed on Dec. 6, 2019. The applicant will be hosting a neighborhood meeting within the next two months.

Project: 25 townhomes; for sale units

Status: Foundation work continues

1280 East Hampden Avenue

Project: 18 townhomes.

Status: Construction continues.


3800 South Broadway

Project: Three-story building comprising eight apartments above a 2,800 square foot commercial space

Stautus: Construction continues. The property owner is inquiring about a liquor license for a prospective restaurant tenant.

Englewood Dental Center

3401 South Broadway, Suite 180

Status: Plans have been approved and building permits issued.

3507 South Ogden Street

Project: Six townhomes; for sale units

Status: Construction continues.

3531 South Pennsylvania Street

Project: 12 townhomes; for sale units

Status: Certificate of Occupancy issued in April.

3325 South Santa Fe Drive

Project: 10,200-square-foot storage facility

Status: Plans have been approved and permit issued. Construction has started.
