The Douglas County School District was closed Jan. 22 due to blowing snow, wind chill and a blizzard warning affecting a portion of the county, the district announced early that morning.
All before- and after-school activities were canceled. Today's board of education meeting was rescheduled for Thursday, Jan. 24 at 6 p.m.
“Safety is a top priority,” DCSD wrote on its Facebook page. “For this reason, our snow team is continuing to monitor the storm.”
Updates on district school closures are provided at www.dcsdk12.org, the district's Facebook and Twitter accounts and mobile app.
