A motion was filed seeking a time extension to file additional motions in the case against Shannon Conley. According to the United States Attorney’s Office Spokesperson, Jeff Dorschner, the motion was filed July 31 per the request of her defense attorneys as the parties are seeking a resolution to the case.
“The parties are in continuing discussions concerning the potential resolution of the case,” the motion read. “Should those discussions result in a resolution of the case, as expected, there will be no need for defense motions at this time.
According to Dorschner, this is a standard action in litigation practices, and no other developments have occurred.
Conley was arrested in April after attempting to board a plane to meet her boyfriend, a known ISIS member, in Syria.
