Class 4A girls soccer playoffs: Skyview makes the field


Skyview High School has a spot at the table for this year's class 4A girls soccer tournament.

The Wolverines visit Northridge High School at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 16. The winner gets either Canon City or Air Academy in the June 19 quarterfinals.

Skyview is 5-4-1 this year, 5-2 in the Colorado League.  Emma Long is the Wolverines' top scorer. She has 19 goals and 46 total points through the end of the regular season. Daisy Gonzales has six goals and 14 points. Ariyah martinez added four goals.

Stephanie Rivera Gallegos handled the majority of the goalkeeping chores. She has a goals-agvainst average of 2.8 and has made 25 saves through nine games.

The Grizzlies have a spotless 10-0 record. Sunnie Yarnell scored 17 goals for Northridge during the regular year. Kira Villarreal added 10. Goalkeeper Kati Conway-Swain has a goals-against average of 0.5.
