Cafe Terracotta hosts fundraiser

Shalom Hospice and Palliative Care was the beneficiary of a Wine Tasting and Silent Auction Fundraiser hosted by Cafe Terracotta in Littleton. Owner Levi Pike enjoyed hosting a full house of supporters Jan. 29.

This first-time fundraiser for Shalom Hospice and Palliative Care brought in more than $4,500 for the benefit of patients needing palliative or hospice care. Feldman Mortuary, Mayfair Liquors and an anonymous donor added their support as sponsors.

The cozy ambiance of Cafe Terracotta, which is housed in a refurbished turn-of-the-century Victorian home, was the perfect setting for guests to sip wine, sample delicious hors d'oeuvres, bid on silent auction items, and visit with old friends as well as new ones.

Funds raised will support Shalom Hospice and Palliative Care patients. Shalom Palliative Care provides comfort and treatment for individuals with incurable or chronic illnesses - with an emphasis on pain and symptom management. Shalom Hospice Care provides support and comfort to terminally ill patients, ensuring dignity and quality of life.

Both these services are entities of Shalom Cares, a not-for-profit organization that offers a continuum of innovative health services for individuals of any faith, race, ethnicity, gender identity or sexual orientation. For more information visit
