Best Place of Worship - Ave Maria Catholic Parish

What they do

As the only Catholic church in Parker, Ave Maria Catholic Parish deliberately tries to provide a community of worship, discipleship and leadership. With over 9,000 registered congregants, their demographics reasonably represent those of the entire town. Ave Maria aims to give people a place and a community where they can worship God, grow as disciples of Jesus and in their ability to have a positive impact on the world. In practical terms, they have a beautiful, vibrant school and for adults, they’re able to provide a real community of prayer and growth for those in all stages of life, including opportunities for worship happening daily. What Father Nathaniel loves most about the structure of their worship service is its inclusivity. No matter what language member speaks, they can follow along with the service in their own language because each mass has the same presentation on any given day around the world.

Ave Maria is actually very old. At some point, it was a parish for cowboys, founded at a time when the priests would periodically pass through a town, instead of residing there. In the 1950s it more or less died away and then was re-established in the mid-1980swhen the parish received a priest who permanently lived in Parker.
