Best Consignment Store/Kids Clothing - Help and Hope Center Treasures Thrift

What they do

Treasures Thrift is a part of the Help and Hope Center, which supports people in Douglas and Elbert counties struggling with serious financial needs or bordering on homelessness. The store’s proceeds directly help these individuals and families, providing them with food, clothing, household goods, rent, and utility assistance. They take donations of gently used items from the community to sell. Donation items can range from anything from CDs to toys and clothing. Treasures Thrift is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day, except Sunday, and is always receiving new items. They also hold sale events, which are promoted on their Instagram, @treasuresthriftcastlerock. They accept volunteers to help with the store in areas like cashiering and pricing. Volunteer forms can be found on the website under “Contact/Volunteer.”

The Help and Hope Center began in 1981 in a garage run by Mela Rudolph, the organization’s founder. Their food bank is now named, “Mela’s Pantry”.Treasures Thrift helped nearly 20,000 people in Douglas County last year and continues to support more through donations and sales from the community.
