Baseball: Legacy rolls past Valor Christian

Lightning stay undefeated


BROOMFIELD -- Legacy High School scored in four of its five turns at bat April 8, including a five-run outburst in the fifth inning, to beat Valor Christian 10-0 in Broomfield.

Landon Sehr threw a one-hitter over five innings and struck out five. Kieran Gaffney had three hits and drove in three runs. Derek Olsen added two hits and drove in a pair of runs. Brandon Sanchez had a base hit and drove in two.

Gaven Hunt had the Eagles' lone base hit.

LHS also beat Cherokee Trail 8-5 in a non-league game April 9 in Broomfield. No stats were immediately available. The Lightning finished the week with a mark of 7-0.
