Rylee Dunn (she/her) joined Colorado Community Media as the Arvada Press reporter in February 2021 after graduating from the University of Denver and freelancing for the Brighton Blade and Commerce City Sentinel.

She split her college years between DU and Syracuse University, where she reported for both schools’ newspapers. At DU, she interned at local arts publication Birdy Magazine as a historical feature writer. At Syracuse, she worked on the state beat and completed a months-long investigation into a targeted Muslim commune, highlighting her passion for reporting on under-represented communities.  

Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Dunn is a lifelong musician who plays guitar in Denver-based, indie-rock band Blankslate, which was named one of Indie 102.3’s Local Artists of the Year in 2021. She enjoys spending her free time hiking, roller skating and making art.
