Jim Benton, who covers sports for Colorado Community Media’s south metro region, is a graduate of the University of Denver who worked 41 years for the Rocky Mountain News in Denver helping to cover a variety of sports including the Avalanche, Colorado State University, Air Force, Wyoming basketball, some Rockies and Broncos, pro tennis and NASCAR.
Jim now lives in Parker, and besides trying to go to the Parker Fieldhouse to attempt to stay in shape, he manages to get out to see other events around the Denver area.
