The Brighton Cultural Arts Commission (BCAC) announces the ribbon cutting and dedication of the beautiful historic mural recently completed at Founders Plaza along with eight sculptures acquired for the city of Brighton by BCAC. Funding for the mural and sculptures was made possible by the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD) and Brighton Lodging Tax. These projects have engaged the community while promoting the appreciation of art and culture.

The dedications will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Founders Plaza , 5 South Main Street, Brighton.

The newly completed mural on the Wells Fargo Building in downtown Historic Brighton, has become a prominent and a visually striking addition to the city landscape. The public is invited to attend the dedication which includes the opportunity to meet Mural Artist Hans Joseph Geist along with our sculpture artists or their representatives: Jerry and Jay Jaramillo, Kim Shaklee, Bill Bunting, ML Duffy, Anthony Guntren, Charles Weaver, and Damian Radice.

We believe these artistic works will not only enhance the beauty of Founders Plaza but also foster a sense of community engagement and pride throughout our community.” said Wilma Rose, President of BCAC.
