MAY STAFF BOOK PICK

Team Member: Holly

RECOMMENDATION: “Shady Hollow” by Juneau Black

GENRE: cozy mystery

HOLLY SAYS: A grumpy toad’s murder sets the woodland village of Shady Hollow atwitter in this cozy mystery. Reporter Vera Vixen begins sniffing out clues — will she solve the mystery before the murderer strikes again?

Black’s clever puzzle kept me intrigued until the very end, but my favorite part of this story was the wonderful setting. Think Beatrix Potter meets Agatha Christie: pour yourself a cup of tea and settle in for murder most cozy!
