I was thrilled to learn that Peter Eggers is running for one of three open seats on the Evergreen Park & Recreation District Board of Directors. We are so lucky to have this outstanding individual in our community.

I first met Peter Eggers while serving on the board of what is now Sculpture Evergreen, where I witnessed his leadership create a respectful and open dialogue that encouraged conversation, which led to cooperation. When the day came to install the sculptures throughout our community, he was the first to arrive and the last to clean up after a day of back-breaking work. He gets down to business and gets things done.

I will be voting for and supporting him because he truly cares what’s important to the public, Evergreen businesses and EPRD staff; he’s a master at bringing people together.

The best reason to vote for Peter Eggers is his experience. He has lived in Evergreen for over 50 years and has 16 years of experience serving on the EPRD board. What’s the saying? “Those who do not know history are doomed to repeat it.” Peter Eggers knows Evergreen’s history and can be a guiding light.

Please join me in voting for Peter Eggers on May 3 at either Buchanan or Wulf Recreation Centers, or by requesting a mail-in ballot by April 26 – find the application at evergreenrecreation.com.
