A man was found dead at Heritage High School Tuesday. Littleton police spokesperson Sheera Poelman said the man died from “non-suspicious” causes.
The man was identified by the Arapahoe County Coroner, according to Arapahoe Community College’s student newspaper, which first reported the incident. Poelman said the man was 58.
The man is believed to have had no relationship with the high school or Littleton Public Schools according to Poelman, who added that he was from outside the state.
The student paper reported that the man was a former Littleton resident, but sold his home in 2019. According to the article, he was hired as a STEM teacher in Gering, Nebraska in 2020.
Poelman said the body was found in a shed outside near the school’s tennis courts and reported around 4:20 p.m. March 22. She added that the police department is grateful that students were on spring break and did not witness the incident.
