Postponements
Frederick’s girls soccer matchk against Weld Central was postponed to 6 p.m. Friday, April 8. Fort Lupton’s track meet at Weld Central was canceled March 18 because of snow.
Frederick’s March 18 baseball game against Riverdale Ridge was called off because snow. The make-up date is 3 p.m. Monday, March 28. FHS’ second rty to play a girls golf tournament at Eagle Trace Golf Course (the Chilly Chili Invitational) was snowed out March 19.
Girls softball
The deadline to join the Fort Lupton Recreation Center’s fast-pitch girls softball leagues (9- to 14-year-olds) is Saturday, March 26, at a cost of $80.
Games begin the week of May 1 at Pearson Park, U.S. Highway 85 and state Highway 52, and in surrounding communities.

Frederick Feeder 5K
Frederick High School’s student council is hosting the first Frederick Feeder 5K and 400-meter fun run Saturday, April 16. Proceeds will help supportschool activities and this year’s staff scholarship.

The start and finish line is at FHS. The 5K race starts at 9 a.m., and the fun run starts at 10 a.m. The fee is $25 for students and staff of the school and $35 for friends and parents. Early registration closes April 1.

Frederick High School’s basketball team will be decorating yards Saturday, April 16, just ahead of Easter Sunday. Team members will take care of buying, filling and hiding the eggs.

Boys basketball
Frederick’s Bryce Conover, Jacoby Conway and Luke Justice were first-team, all-Longs Peak League selections in voting done by the league coaches this season. Matias Aldana and Alex Sturn were honorable-mention choices. Their coach, Jeff Conway, was the league’s coach of the year.
