Monday, March 7 — Empire police responded to a found property call along East Park Avenue. The item was a wallet, which was returned to its owner.
Tuesday, March 8 — An Idaho Springs officer was patrolling the 2200 block of Miner Street when he recognized a man who had multiple warrants for his arrest. He was arrested for his felony warrants out of Clear Creek and El Paso counties.
Tuesday, March 8 — Idaho Springs police responded to a disturbance between a bus driver and passenger in the 1300 block of Miner Street. The passenger was escorted off the bus and given a courtesy ride to a nearby hotel for the night.
Tuesday, March 8 — Empire police responded to a harassment/disorderly conduct call along East Park Avenue. Three people were engaged in a verbal argument. No one was cited.
Tuesday, March 8 — Empire police responded to a burglary at the town’s welcome center and public restrooms along East Park Avenue. Unknown suspects kicked open a locked door to the janitor’s closet/supply room. The door was broken in half. There are currently no leads.
Wednesday, March 9 — Georgetown police arrested an individual for driving while revoked as a habitual traffic offender.
Saturday, March 12 — Empire police issued a speeding citation in the 300 block of East Park Avenue.
Sunday, March 13 — Idaho Springs police took reports of a theft in the 2900 block of Colorado Boulevard. The gas station attendant stated an unknown man had stolen more than $30 in motor oil. ISPD searched the area, but was unable to locate the suspect.
