Arapahoe Community College (ACC) will host a three-day-long virtual event featuring panels, readings and workshops from bestselling authors from around the country beginning Thursday, March 10, and ending Saturday, March 12.
On Thursday from 6 to 7:30 p.m., three writers of young adult work will read from recently-published novels and discuss tips and techniques for writing for a young adult audience.
On Friday from 6 to 7:30 p.m., authors and writing mentors will discuss the step-by-step process for publishing a book, sharing experiences of creating a manuscript, finding a press, working with editors and the expectations for editors and authors after publication.
On Saturday from 9 to 10:30 a.m., a workshop will be held on how to pace long-form narrative fiction. A workshop will then be held that same day from 10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on how to generate ideas during writing. From 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., attendees can enjoy a lunch-time reading before the final workshop on the use of violence in horror and dark fiction from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
