Wednesday, Feb. 16 — Georgetown police investigated an unattended death at a residence. The death does not appear to be suspicious in nature, officers reported.

Thursday, Feb. 17 — Idaho Springs officers meet with an individual in the 1700 block of Miner Street. The individual had an active felony warrant out of Clear Creek County for assaulting a peace officer. The person was arrested on the warrant without incident.

Friday, Feb 18 — Empire police responded to a criminal mischief incident at Minton Park. Some of the park’s signs had been damaged.

Friday, Feb. 18 — Idaho Springs officers responded to reports of juveniles vandalizing city property. Officers contacted the juveniles and their parents, and all parties were advised of possible charges after case review by the District Attorney’s Office.

Friday, Feb. 18 — Idaho Springs officers took reports of theft and vehicle trespass in the 100 block of 12th Avenue. A woman said her belongings had been stolen out of her car while she was using the rec center. ISPD attempted to review surveillance footage for possible suspects, but cameras weren’t operating in that location during the theft.

Saturday, Feb. 19 — Empire police conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of East Park Avenue. The driver was issued a speeding citation.

Sunday, Feb. 20 — Georgetown police took a report of a damaged split-rail fence at a condo complex. One witness reported seeing an unidentified vehicle run into the fence and then drive off.

Sunday, Feb. 20 — An Idaho Springs officer was patrolling westbound Interstate 70 and observed a vehicle with expired plates driving at a high rate of speed, making unsafe lane changes, and almost striking other vehicles. The officer initiated a traffic stop in the 2900 block of Colorado Boulevard, where the driver was cited for multiple offenses.
