Authorities have named those involved in the Feb. 2 fatal crash on Interstate 70 near Idaho Springs.

Leora Ezoory, the 33-year-old passenger, of Los Angeles was pronounced dead at the scene after the Jeep she was riding in crashed into a semi-truck, according to a Feb. 3 press release from the Idaho Springs Police Department.

The 34-year-old male driver, Joel Ezoory of Los Angeles, was injured and transported to a Denver-area hospital. His condition is unknown.

The Ezoorys were traveling on eastbound I-70 around 5:30 p.m. when their 2020 Jeep Compass Trailhawk struck a semi-truck that was broken down on the shoulder. The semi-truck driver was in the cab at the time of the accident and was uninjured.

ISPD and Colorado State Patrol are investigating the accident, including cause, but have found no indications of driver impairment.
