Monday, Jan. 10 — Georgetown police responded to a report of a residence’s broken window. No evidence of unlawful entry was found.
Monday, Jan. 10 — Georgetown police responded to a fire alarm at Georgetown Community School. Investigation determined that a student had deliberately pulled it, and the matter was turned over to school staff.
Wednesday, Jan. 12 — Georgetown police responded to a local motel for a theft via phone scam. The identity of the scammer is unknown.
Friday, Jan. 14 — At the Idaho Springs police station, officers met a man who stated his roommates had started an altercation with him the previous night. He declined to press charges and asked for officers’ help in retrieving his belongings. He later did so without incident.
Saturday, Jan. 15 — An Idaho Springs officer and Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 1200 block of Miner Street for reports of a man trespassing. Upon arrival, officers found windows to the business ajar and determined the man entered through them. He was located, escorted off the property, and issued a citation for criminal trespass.
Saturday, Jan. 15 — Idaho Springs police responded to an assault in the 2300 block of Virginia Street. One person was arrested for harassment and domestic violence for reportedly slapping their spouse across the face.
