Construction on a new sidewalk along a portion of Parker Road south of downtown is nearing completion, according to the Town of Parker.

The multi-use sidewalk will be between Twenty Mile Road and Hess Road on the west side of Parker Road.

The work on a replacement sound barrier wall by the Country Meadows subdivision north of Hess Road was delayed because of lumber supply chain issues, according to a news release.

“The delay pushed back the substantial completion date to February,” according to the release. “Minor project work items will continue into late winter and be fully completed in early spring.”

The town is being reimbursed for half of the construction costs for the project — up to $1 million — by the Denver Regional Council of Governments, according to the release.
