Denver is one of the best places to be in the winter, with the Downtown Denver Partnership offering esteemed events such as the 9News Parade of Lights in December and partnering with VisitDenver for the New Year’s Eve Fireworks display.

The Downtown Denver Rink is another of those beloved attractions. This year, it opened on Nov. 24 and the ice-skating rink will be open until Feb. 20.

It is free to skate at the Rink if you have your own skates. Skate rentals are available for $9 for adults and $7 for children age 12 and younger. All fourth-graders receive free skate rentals.

Other amenities include free lockers and a concessions stand.
