• Elizabeth Town Hall, meeting place for the Board of Trustees.
The Town of Elizabeth is looking for an interested resident to fill a vacancy on the Board of Trustees following the death of Trustee Bret Wade on Nov. 28.

In a short phone correspondence on Dec. 21 with Patrick Davidson, the new Elizabeth town administrator, he stressed the importance of the role and encouraged those interested to apply.

“Serving on the Board of Trustees is a great opportunity for someone interested to give back to the community,” said Davidson. “The trustees get to participate in shaping the future of Elizabeth and the area, leaving a lasting legacy.”

Wade, 47, died of COVID, according to a Dec. 18 article in Colorado Politics.

• Be a U.S. citizen.

• Be a registered elector (voter) of the Town of Elizabeth.

The appointment to fill the vacancy will be for a term that would begin on the effective date of the appointment and end at a Town Board meeting following the certification of the November 2022 election results.

The Board of Trustees will review applications and appoint one individual to fill the vacancy at a scheduled board meeting. Letters of interest with resumes will be accepted up to Monday, January 3, 2022, at 5 p.m.
