Tuesday, Dec. 7 — Idaho Springs police responded to the 1900 block of Miner Street for reports of a protection order violation. When officers arrived, the reporting party said a woman was on the property who had a protection order requiring her to be 100 yards away from it. The woman was arrested on suspicion of violating the protection order.
Tuesday, Dec. 7 — Empire police responded to a civil dispute along West Park Avenue. A couple was breaking up and moving out of a residence. A restraining order was issued in the case, and the police served it.
Wednesday, Dec. 8 — Idaho Springs police responded to the 1300 block of Miner Street to talk to a woman who requested to see an officer. While talking to the woman, officers learned she had a warrant for her arrest. She was taken into custody.
Saturday, Dec. 11 — An Idaho Springs officer initiated a traffic stop in the 2900 block of Colorado Boulevard. During the stop, the officer learned that the driver didn’t have a valid driver’s license or proof of insurance. The driver also had an active warrant for his arrest. He was taken into custody for the warrant, and cited for driving without a license or proof of insurance.
Saturday, Dec. 11 — Empire police investigated a fraud along East Park Avenue involving the sale of a vehicle. The incident is still under investigation.
Sunday, Dec. 12 — Idaho Springs police responded to the 2900 block of Colorado Boulevard for reports of a woman sleeping on the property. Officers contacted the woman, who reportedly became very aggressive and loud. She was cited for criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.
