On the Mat Magazine released its first set of rankings for girls wrestlers earlier this week.
Here’s a list of the local athletes who made the lists:
Girls:
100 pounds: 2. Rylee Balcazar, Fort Lupton, third in the regionals and third in state in 2021. 4. Emmy Kiefer, Riverdale Ridge, state qualifier 202, fourth in the regionals, 2021, and fifteh at state in 2021. 10. Alyssa Cortez, Legacy.
127: 3. Jayden Lange, Westminster, won her regional in 2021, finished third in state in 2021. 8. Genevieve Hunt, Fort Lupton.
147: 4. Sheccid Aguirre, Skyview, second in the state 2019, fourth in the state in 2020 and fifth at state in 2021
161: 9. Sophia Lucero, Riverdale Ridge
185: 2. Anastyn Livesay, Fort Lupton, won her regional and took second at state in 2021
215: 10. Natasha Kuberski, Riverdale Ridge
