Castle Rock residents have a new establishment for healthy treats with the opening of the Nekter Juice Bar at 625 Trail Boss Drive in Castle Rock.
Owner Nick Green, who has opened four locations in Colorado Springs, is a mark in Douglas County. Besides the recent opening on the north side of Castle Rock, he is also planning to open another location on the south side of town and to open a store in Parker next year.
Green said he chose the newest location in Castle Rock because it is close to a high school and near shopping.
Green said he believes in the quality foods and drinks offered at Nekter Juice Bar. The proof, he said, is in the first Colorado Springs establishment that was opened in the middle of a pandemic and is thriving.
Green, a Colorado Springs resident, said with the initial stores performing well, he wanted to expand and saw potential in Douglas County, especially in Castle Rock. Castle Rock continues to grow as housing developments and condos are under construction, he said.
Nekter Juice Bar Trail serves fresh juice, smoothies, cold pressed juice cleanses and handcrafted acai bowls.
Besides traditional smoothies and fusion blends, Nekter Juice Bar also has three shots on the menu. The Elderberry shot, containing red apple, ginger and elderberry, is high in antioxidents, serving as an immune system boost.
The ginger shot is a 40-calorie energizing booster with ginger and lemon.
The final of the three shots is the turmeric shot, which is a 50-calorie anti-inflammatory booster with the main ingredients of turmeric and apple.
Besides beverages, Nekter Juice Bar also serves acai bowls, which are thick smoothie bowls loaded with toppings. The bowls range in variety from peanut butter to mango, banana, dragon fruit or a protein power option.
