Saturday and Sunday’s snowstorm dropped 2 feet-3 feet of snow across much of Jefferson County, and the weekend’s snowfall is now the fourth-biggest on record for the Denver area. The storm closed Interstate 70 for several hours both days because of poor conditions and crashes, leaving some motorists frustrated. However, it also provided a source of fun as locals took to frolicking in the deep snow.
