In an effort to provide Easter baskets to children across the Denver metro area, Discovery Toys and A Precious Child have teamed up for the fifth year to collect donations and put together baskets.

Centennial resident Julie Olivett, a Discovery Toys team leader, said she continues to participate because A Precious Child is a great organization that continues to provide vital services to families in need in Colorado.

“I believe that a simple act of kindness can make a huge difference in a child’s day,” Olivett said. “The Easter Basket Drive is a perfect opportunity to put smiles on hundreds of kids’ faces and that’s what I love to do. It’s a win-win.”

This year the goal is to distribute as many Easter Baskets as possible. All children already being served by A Precious Child will receive these baskets the week before Easter.

The suggested donation is $30 per basket and 100% of the donations collected are used to create baskets. Baskets are filled with candy, a chocolate bunny, Easter eggs, toys, books, games, and toothbrush/toothpaste.

Donations will be accepted through March 25. To donate, visit the website at https://apreciouschild.org/donate/, or call (303)466-4272 ext. 114.
