Tuesday, Jan. 12 — Idaho Springs officers were dispatched to a local hotel for a report of an unoccupied vehicle left running outside a guest’s room. The vehicle was determined to have been abandoned after it was stolen. It was impounded and returned to its owner.

Tuesday, Jan. 12 — Georgetown police responded to a disturbance in the 1900 block of Clear Creek Drive. The incident reportedly involved a couple arguing, and the incident was resolved with a warning for disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace.

Friday, Jan. 15 — An Idaho Springs officer was patrolling the 2700 block of Riverside Drive and observed a vehicle without license plates and someone apparently sleeping inside. During contact, the officer reportedly found heroin and drug paraphernalia in the suspect’s possession. The occupant was arrested.

Saturday, Jan. 16 — Idaho Springs officers were patrolling near the 2300 block of Colorado Boulevard when they heard a collision and reportedly saw a vehicle drive over a curb. The driver was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving.

Saturday, Jan. 16 — Georgetown police contacted a man along Sixth Street who had an active warrant for his arrest out of Clear Creek County and wanted to turn himself in. He was taken into custody.

Saturday, Jan. 16 — Georgetown police responded to an alcohol-related ordinance violation at the lake. People reportedly had open containers, and both were issued a citation and a warning for fishing in a prohibited area.

Saturday, Jan. 16 — Idaho Springs police opened an investigation into allegations that a man had been able to access a credit card account and stole more than $4,700 from his ex-girlfriend, who also accused him of physically abusing her. Charges are pending.

Sunday, Jan. 17 — Idaho Springs police responded to a fight-in-progress call at an eastside residence. According to reports, two suspects known to the residents forced their way into the home and started assaulting them. One of the suspects and both residents were transported to the hospital. Both suspects were charged with burglary. Enhanced charges are expected.

Sunday, Jan. 17 — Idaho Springs police took a report that a local rafting company had gas stolen from a vehicle. The case remains open.

Sunday, Jan. 17 — Idaho Springs police responded to a disturbance at a central residence. One person was in extreme duress and was taken to the hospital, and the other was arrested for violation of a protection order.
